Transfer Quest: Campus Exploration
Explore the campus with our Transfer Squad and other new transfer students in an interactive scavenger hunt-style campus exploration activity. Check out the campus before classes start! *Lunch will be provided while supplies last
Campus Locators
As a Campus Locator, participants play an important role in helping students explore our world-class University and help define UCF’s commitment to student success and well-being. Participants will:
- Help students navigate UCF’s campuses
- Showcase UCF pride and spirit
- Listen to and answer questions
- Promote UCF programs and services
- Help students find Belonging and begin Engaging at UCF, as part of the BEAM framework.
Transfer Touchdown: Kickoff with a Transfer Coach
Set yourself up for success by connecting with our Academic Success Coaches. Stop by our office to ask any questions about your transition to UCF and meet other transfer students. Join us for a great kickoff to the semester! Students will be familiarized with the Transfer Center resources, engage with other Transfer Center, and set themselves to success while meeting with Success Coaches.
¡Bienvenidos Knights! Atrium Take Over
Student attendees will learn about how to get involved with registered student organizations and upcoming engagement and professional opportunities. The event will include information tables and networking opportunities!
PeerKnights Connection: Your Concerns, Our Support
PeerKnights will host an open session where students can bring any questions they have about succeeding at UCF, whether related to classes, campus resources, or adjusting to college life. The setup will include a table for general inquiries and a separate area where students with specific concerns can have mini-meetings, similar to the one-on-one sessions offered in our office, to address their individual questions or concerns.
Waddle into a HIP
Join HIP and AAP for a Vision Board creative session! Students will prepare for the semester by creating their own vision board and hearing from HIP and AAP on how to prepare themselves for their next steps through High-Impact Practices and Grad School prep.
FYE Ice Cream Social
Come hang out with First Year Experience to get a sweet treat, mingle with follow students, reconnect with your Orientation Leaders, and learn about the Orientation Leader Role!
Ducks and Donuts
Come to the CSEL Building located on the north end of Memory Mall and race plastic ducks in a kiddie pool. Enjoy donuts after while learning about what Experiential Learning can do for you!
Knight Hike
“Knight Hike” is an event for new Spring students, prospective Orientation Leaders and current Orientation Leaders to move safely through campus at night while meeting peers, making connections, and learning more about the Orientation Leader role at UCF. Attendees can RSVP for the event in advance. We will meet at 5:30pm at the Reflecting Pond and begin our walk at 5:45pm. We will walk the full loop on Apollo Circle as a group.
Saving Secrets
Have you heard about Saving Secrets? It’s formerly Couponing 101. Come learn the basic to discount savings, grocery shopping tips on a budget and more secrets to saving money. Learn about SNAP benefits and how to apply. Come get your saving secrets….give me my money saving secrets.
UCF Trivia & Game Knight
Test your UCF and Pop Culture knowledge, compete in fun games, and win prizes. Whether you’re a trivia enthusiast or just looking for a great time with friends, this event is perfect for all UCF Knights. Spots are limited for this event to 50 students, so reserve your spot soon! *Chick-fil-A will be provided while supplies last*
Student Care Services Well-Being Festival
The Student Care Services office is excited to announce the 1st Annual Well-being Festival. This event will feature various UCF organizations, vendors, and community partners, along with interactive games and activities. Students will learn about essential aspects of well-being, including sleep habits, healthy social media use, physical activity, social interactions, and nutrition. The aim of this festival is to equip students with vital information and tools to cultivate healthy lives and relationships with themselves and others.
Downtown UCF Non-Profit Fair
Non-profit fair to find organizations to work/volunteer with! All faculty, student and staff welcome.
RWC Group Exercise Mash Up
Join the RWC’s Fitness team in a mash up of some of our favorite Group Exercise classes: Cardio Dance, HIIT+Core, and Kickboxing! This hour long event will feature 20 minutes of each type of workout and give students the opportunity to explore the Group Exercise offerings at the RWC!
Transfer Knights Take Flight Fair
“Take a flight” with the UCF Transfer Center and travel to different resources on campus, from academics to engagement opportunities. Students will learn and get engaged with different campus resources, while making connections with other transfer students. *Food and drinks will be provided while supplies last
FreshU Cooking Class
Wellness and Health Promotion Services (WHPS) is proud to offer: FreshU Kitchen Cooking Class Get hands on experience in the kitchen and learn how to make delicious, healthy food! You get to eat what you make and take home the leftovers too. Check out our schedule below. All classes take place under the WHPS office awning. This class is open to UCF students only REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Space is limited. Email Kaetlyn.Puldon@ucf.edu with your student ID and food restrictions/preferences to reserve your spot. You will receive a reply email to confirm your spot in the class.
